Art of Saleena Kí | My Many Forms of ART
Saleena Kí expresses her Omni-D STORYTELLER through Art Stories. They can be Word Art, Visual Art, Vibrational Art with lots of Color, Light Language & Geometry woven into many layers. Sometimes she is whimsical, sometimes shamanic, sometimes mystical, sometimes musical, sometimes she is barefoot and rooted into Earth, with her nose stuck into some micro world and often she is off flying about in the other dimensions. She calls it OD or Omni-Dimensional. Often you find her at the computer or behind her camera creating new worlds and new realities. Her art is often created with many vibrational layers that often can be felt vibrationally by those in its presence. This website is a Branch of her HomeTree. Most of her art is available for sale from her own Omni-D Store.

My Many Forms of ART

My Many Forms of ART

My Many Forms of ART

I chose this image for this story because it shows many of the myriads of ways that my ART takes form. Being a CREATIVE MAKER & WEAVER, I like to express in many different mediums; from physical pen to paper then turning them into complex omni-dimensional digital layered ART, such as my VIBRAKEYS where I merge my physical ART with my other visual expressions, such as scans of physical objects or my own PHOTOGRAPHY, to creating a new Garden in GARDENSONG.  It is all part of the ART of LIVING here on EARTH to me!

Over the years, my ART has taken all kinds of unexpected twists and turns. I grew up in a very artistic creative environment. It runs DEEP in my family. I was drawing as far back as I can remember. Art was my favorite class in school I remember being championed by my 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Walker. She put me in charge of creating a huge mural about reading books. All I remember is how full of fantasy characters this mural was. That was a very empowering experience. I took every ART CLASS that I could get into in High School. I never went on to formal Art School. I taught myself and took many WORKSHOPS with various artists who had techniques I wanted to learn. Sometimes I learned from books. That was before the internet. Mostly I learned by doing it.

Oil Painting

I took PORTRAIT PAINTING lessons using OILS from a local woman when I was 16.  We were all surprised how easily it came to me. Here is the first portrait I ever painted of my little Brother, Rusty.

Fabric Painting

After I married and had children, I didn’t seem to have much time for much art other than drawing and coloring with the kids, so I created a way and purpose that fit that time of my life. Momsy and I made our own equipment and each started a silk screening business. I called mine WINKS because I loved the difference a subtle facial and body expression could make to my characters. I loved painting fantasy and animals.

These are two FABRIC PAINTINGS on T-Shirts for my children.

I consider STORYTELLING an ART. I love for my ART to tell stories, like these BUNNIES. I like to think of my PHOTOS as VISUAL STORIES and I am just beginning to share them online. You can visit some of my Photo Galleries at the GardenSong Project under the menu of NATURE STORIES & ART.

I love PAINTING, though over the last 10 years I haven’t done that much. You can see one I did for Momsy by scrolling down the page at the FAIRY PORTAL. There is also a SOUL PORTRAIT there, too, I did while sketching a model at an ART Class. Here is one I painted in 2001 while living in Hawaii.

This one was so much fun to paint.

Teaching Tole & Decorative Painting

In my late 20s early 30s I mastered Tole & Decorative Painting when it was more of a fine ART than a fun CRAFT.

It was all about loading the brush with oil paints and how to stroke in
those luscious shaded colors, shapes and textures.

I love DRAWING and do more of that now. Here is a portrait I did of my Grandson, Kryspin, who is an artist, also.

2006-07-02 Portrait of Grandson Kryspin in Prisma Pencils. He stayed with me after the family reunion and we did art together. I feel like this shares his passion for art. He loves nature and is a very gentle soul. He is very quiet so I haven't quite gotten to know him yet.

I do a LOT of quick sketches of what I see and sense when my friends and I go on our OMNI-D TRAVEL ADVENTURES. Our journeys are an omni-dimensional ART in and of themselves. You can actually see some of those sketches in the background of the first image in this blog message. I plan to publish a series of eBooks with our Travel Adventure stories and sketches. That is to come.

Last Winter I decided to work myself out artistically and create a MANDALA a night. I love MANDALAS! That is the form that most of my VIBRAKEYS take. I set up a creative space upstairs where it is warm and would ascend in the evenings to my drawing room. I had fun watching what would unfold and emerge as I put my pencils to paper. I like to start out with using a compass, drawing a few random overlapping circles, then see where it will go. That project lead to my QUANTUM QUIRKY BITS series. I decided to reach into the cosmic quantum world and to express it in black and white drawings that let my quirky humor escape and run wild. On powerful energetic days, like a Solar Eclipse or Super Moon day, I would link into the energy and just draw in its flow. I had so much fun I could hardly wait to get to drawing each night. I love it when the CREATIVE FIRES burn bright.

Power of Music

I love MUSIC and over the years I have written many songs. All my songs have to do with shaping the world the way I would like it so I sing and play them over and over. Music and ART has POWER. It brings thoughts into form. Look at the BARDS. They would sing something over and over and it would shape their communities. ART does that, so I am careful about what I bring into form. I haven’t been confident enough to share them, yet. Maybe I will someday…
