Archaeobots
Our first offering of ART as NFTs*

Everyone and everything has a story and being a STORYTELLER I would like to tell you this one: how ARCHAEOBOTS came to be co-created with my podner, Hugh. We live in a small southern country town on a piece of FAMILY MOTHERLAND that was handed down from his ancestors starting with one of DANIEL BOONE’s relatives obtaining the first land grant in the area that was eventually called GOAT SLICK.

There is a DRY BRANCH that runs along in front of our home. When there is lots of RAIN it fills and rushes by, washing away more dirt and debris and excavating very interesting ARTIFACTS, including FOSSILS.

I come from several generations of ROCK HOUNDS and ARTIFACT HUNTERS, spending many family outings hunting ARROWHEADS, POTTERY or TOPAZ in the SOUTHERN UTAH DESERTS. Hugh was raised by WORLD EXPLORERS who lived in many amazing places and he grew up enjoying nature and collecting SHELLS on ZANZIBAR.

On many of my outings down the BRANCH when it is dry I discover amazing STONES, STONE BEINGS, DRAGON EGGS, FOSSILS and many old RUSTY METAL OBJECTS like HORSESHOES and old CAR PARTS, even smoothed old colorful GLASS. I bring home many RELICS from the PAST to decorate GARDENSONG with.

One day Hugh and I decided to go on an adventure to find many of these OLD INTERESTING ARTIFACTS. He happened to discover a piece that so looked like a ROBOT HEAD we decided it would be fun to see what kind of photograph I could take of it, so we arranged it on the stones and took its portrait.  This was the moment the CREATIVE IDEA SEED was planted.

Over the HOLIDAYS at the end of 2021 we decided to continue our HUNT for more of these relics, and found many of them uncovered in about the same place.

As we gathered we began wondering if there might have been an ANCIENT ROBOT CIVILIZATION that once flourished here. So Hugh designated himself SCAVENGER who found and categorized the ARTIFACTS.

He suggested that I see if I could puzzle together some of the BOTS that may have lived here and take photographs. This amplified the FUN and we really got into it.

My CREATIVE CHILD took over and really had FUN PLAYING! Piecing them together, thinking abut what kind of BEINGS they might have been and even reconstructed an ARCHAEOBOT CITY!

The idea has been cooking for awhile to use some of my ART and PHOTOGRAPHS as NFTs* so when we came home with some VERY FUN photographs, Hugh came up with their name, ARCHAEOBOTS, and I began to create DIGITAL ART.
