10 May Sharing GardenSong
Today I finally have my new website ready to start a series of sharings about my garden & nature experiences meanderings creations & inspirations in GardenSong2 Booneville. I had fun starting to share about the first GardenSong1 Hawaii. I will also share stories about previous GardenSongs. I will share things I learn. I will share Hi-Vibe Recipes with wild foods. Whatever catches my imagination. It is so much fun to be able to share! This is a dream coming true! I am happy you are here. I hope you have fun exploring our GardenSong Project.
Everyday many magical things happen to me!
The photo at the top is looking through the wild flowers in my front lawn. They are there because I mowed around them. I like to call them Fairy Eyelashes. The name seems to be sticking around here. The house is the Main Boone House built by Hugh’s Ancestors. It is a very old charming house and very photogenic!
Today I was crouching down on the porch, fiddling with a flower pot when the tiniest Hummingbird flew right in front of me. He hovered there, letting me see his startlingly dark red throat and brown black and white feathers. I hadn’t seen one like this before. This kind is the first to show up this year. A week ago, one flew up to me, scolding me, reminding me that they are here and it is time to put up their nectar juice feeder! I imagine today the little Hummingbird was thanking me for taking his advice! I have yet to get a photo of him. This is a photo I took last year of a female Hummingbird sitting in the Sugar Maple, Cassie. I was happy I captured her so beautifully! The one today was much much smaller than this one.
