14 Aug Bits of Fleeting Beauty
I was nominated by my dear friend Colin Whitby to post one nature photo a day for 7 days and to nominate a new person every day.
This is my Day 1 photo: Female Ruby Throat Preening in the Fairy Garden, GardenSong Project TN. Taken Sunday, August 13th. The air was filled with these little chattering female HUMMERS all day yesterday! Nectaring, sipping from the vast variety of FLOWERS and several FEEDERS. I have only caught a fleeting glimpse of one male so far this year (they have the ruby red throat).
Today I nominate you, my friend Nell Benton to find your Nature moments. Photos don’t have to be recent, they just need to be taken by YOU. The goal is to flood Facebook with beauty and feel-good vibes.
I live surrounded by a Pollinator Habitat and Wildlife Sanctuary I have spent the last 3-4 years dreaming in, co-creating with NATURE and HUMANS, cultivating, encouraging, pouring resources into, working HARD and SWEATING lots, healing in and LOVING IT ALL!
It is now to the point where GardenSong Project #2 here in Tennessee is flourishing and lush. When I was invited to post my NATURE PHOTOS for the next 7 days I knew it was a great chance to encourage me to share some of the beauty that surrounds me daily.
My passion is fired up by seeing and capturing photos of and telling stories about small bits of fleeting beauty in NATURE and the processes that surround CO-CREATION with NATURE.
Stunning microworlds that most miss unless you really pay attention (and have sharp eyes, a really good telephoto lens and lots of patience to wait for those moments when tiny bits to show up!) Sometimes they show up right outside my door. Many of my photos are taken through the glass, since if I opened the door, away that bit would fly. Sometimes it is only a moment they are there, then off to other adventures.
Sometimes I go hunting… take my old friend, Canon SX30, and my iPhone, spray myself with Herbal Bug X, since there are so many tiny bugs here in the South that like to crawl in, burrow and bite, and do an exploratory walkabout GardenSong.
Many days I never leave our 1/2 acre of GARDENS surrounding our home. Some days I venture deeper into our surrounding Motherland or walk through our little community to the creek for new vistas and exciting discoveries. Many days the SKY is my inspiration.
This August is filled with energies and alignments that lineup for a powerful time to create what we DESIRE MOST. A powerful time to focus on what we want in our World so we get more of it. Today I share so my fellow HUMANS may learn to LOVE and APPRECIATE the BEAUTY of MOTHER NATURE. Nature really holds all the keys to moving into a brighter more harmonious world reality. to be cont…
